  1. Mix together one part mild liquid detergent and two parts lukewarm water in a small bowl.
  2. Using a soft-bristled brush, gently rub the soapy solution onto the mud stain.
  3. Once you have scrubbed stain, rinse the silk chiffon with lukewarm water.
  4. Mix together one part white vinegar and two parts lukewarm water in another small bowl.
  5. Dab the stained area with the vinegar mixture.
  6. Rinse the stain with lukewarm water until vinegar smell dissipates.
  7. Gently press the stain area with clean cloths or paper towels to absorb any remaining moisture.
  8. Allow the silk to air dry completely.
