Cleaning Mud Stains from Pots & Pans

  1. Start by filling the pot or pan with hot water.
  2. Add about 1⁄4 cup of white vinegar and 1⁄4 cup of baking soda into the pot or pan as well.
  3. Let the solution soak for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Rinse the pot or pan thoroughly with hot water.
  5. If mud stains remain, use a scrub brush to gently scrub affected area.
  6. Rinse the pot or pan again with hot water to complete cleaning process.

Using Alternative Cleaning Methods

If the mud stains are still present after trying above method, you may want to try using an abrasive cleaner like Bon Ami or Comet to remove them. Simply apply the cleaner directly to the affected area and scrub gently with a brush or sponge. Once you've removed the stains, rinse with hot water to complete process.

You can also try using lemon juice or cream of tartar to remove stubborn mud stains. Simply mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or cream of tartar with some hot water and apply this mixture to the affected area. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with hot water.

Preventing Mud Stains

The best way to prevent mud stains from appearing on your pots and pans is to clean them immediately after use. Wipe any dirt or residue away with a damp cloth before it has a chance to harden and set in. Store your cookware in a dry place to keep them from getting dirty again.
