What You'll Need

  • Cold Water
  • Dish Soap
  • Old Toothbrush
  • Soft Towel

Step One: Treating the Stain

Start by soaking the stained fabric in a sink or bucket full of cold water to loosen up the dirt. If the stain is particularly stubborn, consider adding a teaspoon of dish soap into the water.

Step Two: Scrubbing the Stain

Once the fabric has soaked up the solution, use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the stained area. As you scrub, it's important to remember that you don't want to use too much pressure, as this can damage the integrity of the fabric.

Step Three: Rinse and Dry

After you're done scrubbing stain, rinse the fabric under cold water, then lay it out flat on a soft towel. Let the fabric dry completely before attempting to wear it again.

Extra Tips

  • If you notice the stain still hasn't been completely lifted, you can pre-treat it with a spot remover before starting the cleaning process again.
  • If the fabric is delicate, avoid using hot water as this can cause the fabric to shrink.
