Step 1: Scrape Away Mud

Take a blunt knife or a spoon and lightly scrape away any mud stuck to your parka. Be careful not to damage fabric, so don’t press too hard. You just want to remove any larger clumps of mud that you can without damaging the material.

Step 2: Apply a Mud Stain Remover

There are various products on the market designed to remove mud stains from clothing. Be sure to check the label to make sure the product is safe for use on your parka. Once you’ve selected your product, follow instructions on the label to apply it. Be sure to let the solution sit on the fabric for the amount of time listed before continuing.

Step 3: Machine Wash

After you’ve pre-treated the mud stain and allowed remover to work its magic, machine wash the fabric according to the label instructions on your parka. If the mud stain persists, you may need to repeat steps 2 and 3 to completely remove the stain.
