The first step is to soak the kitchen utensil in hot water. This will help loosen any dried mud from surface and make it easier to remove. Let it soak for 15 minutes before moving on to the next step.
Once the mud has been softened by the hot water, you can use a soft cloth or a scrub brush to gently scrub away the stain. Use a mild dish soap to help break down any oils and proteins in the mud that could be causing the stain. Be sure to rinse utensil with hot water after scrubbing to remove all residue.
For tougher mud stains, you can treat the area with baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda on the stain and then mix it with a little hot water to form a paste. Spread the paste over the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before scrubbing it away with a soft cloth or brush.
Once the stain has been removed, you can use white vinegar to give the utensil a thorough rinse. Just add a bit of white vinegar to some hot water and swish the utensil around in the mixture to ensure all the residue has been removed. Rinse again with hot water to finish.
Once you've finished cleaning the mud stain, be sure to dry the utensil off completely before storing it away. This will help prevent any residual moisture from causing more staining down the line.
Mud stains can be pesky, but with the right approach they can be removed. By following the steps above, you should be able to easily get rid of any mud stains on your kitchen utensils.
