Step 1: Wet the Headband with Warm Water

Take a clean cloth and wet it with warm water. Make sure not to soak it too much. Then, gently rub the fabric of the headband until it’s wet. This will help to loosen up dried mud and any other debris that may have become stuck on the fabric.

Step 2: Use Dishwashing Liquid

To take the stain-removing process further, mix warm water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Put the mixture into a bowl or cup, then dip your headband into it. Let it soak for no more than three minutes, as this will help to break down the mud.

Step 3: Clean Headband with Soap

Using an old toothbrush or a small scrubbing brush, lightly scrub the fabric of your headband with a gentle soap. Once you’ve cleaned the headband, rinse it off with cold water.

Step 4: Dry Headband and Check for Remaining Stains

Put the headband in the sun or use a hairdryer to dry it. Once it’s been fully dried, check to make sure all the mud has been removed. If any stains remain, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until they have gone.
