The first step to cleaning a mud stain from guipure lace is to blot the stain with a clean cloth. This will help to absorb as much dirt and moisture as possible before using any additional cleaning agents.
Once you have blotted stain, use a gentle pre-treatment agent like dish soap or bar soap specifically designed for delicates. Pre-treat the stain for 15-30 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Mix a small amount of detergent in lukewarm water and gently hand wash the garment. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric to keep it intact. After washing, rinse the garment in cold water, squeeze out excess water, and line dry.
If the stain still remains, create a natural stain remover by mixing 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water and dabbing the mixture onto the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
Finally, lay garment flat on a towel and leave it in a sunny spot to dry. The sun's UV rays will help naturally bleach the stain and keep the fabric looking great.
