Instructions for Cleaning Mud Stains from Dolce & Gabbana
- Scrape off any excess mud from stained area of the fabric with a dull knife or spoon.
- Turn garment inside out and blot the stained area with a damp cloth or sponge. Make sure to treat the stained area only.
- Create a pre-treatment mixture by combining equal parts of white vinegar and water. Dip a sponge into mixture and apply it generously to the stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Take the garment to the sink and rinse off the pre-treatment mixture with cold running water. Blot the stained area with a dry towel.
- If the stain persists, mix 2 tsp of laundry detergent in 2 cups of warm water. Submerge the garment in the mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rinse and blot the stained area with a dry towel.
- For tougher stains, mix a solution of 1 quart of warm water and ½ tsp of oxygen-based bleach. Soak the garment in solution overnight. The next morning, rinse off the solution with cold running water. Blot the stain with a dry towel.
