To begin, start by carefully brushing or scraping away any excess mud or dirt on fabric. Take care not to damage the fabric, and use as light a touch as possible when brushing. If there is no excess mud present, skip this step.
Next, mix a cleaning solution using one part white vinegar and two parts warm water. Put the solution in a spray bottle, and spritz it onto the stained area. Let the mixture sit on the fabric for approximately 15 minutes.
After solution has had a chance to work its magic, grab a soft sponge and gently dab at the stain. The vinegar should have loosened up the mud, making it easier to remove. Continue to dab until the mud stain has been removed.
If you need to, you can rinse the fabric with a little bit of cold water. Make sure to wring out any excess water before hanging the Dashiki up to dry. Once dry, the mud stain should be gone!
