Removing Mud Stains with Detergent Solution

The first thing to do is to scrape off as much of the mud as you can from the fabric. Then make a solution of liquid detergent mixed with water and soak your denim into it for about an hour. After an hour, gently scrub the stained area with a soft brush until you can see that the stain is lifting.

Sprinkle Baking Soda and White Vinegar

Another effective way to remove the mud stain is by sprinkling baking soda on the affected area. Leave it on for some time and then spray white vinegar directly on the spot. This will help break down the dirt and dissolve the mud stain. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse off with cold water.

A Mixture of Lemon Juice and Salt

Lemon juice and salt also work well to remove mud stains from cloth. Mix equal parts of both ingredients in a bowl to form a paste. Apply the paste on the stained fabric and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Then, take a dry cloth and rub the fabric to remove the paste and the mud stain.

Washing Machine

If you don't want to put in the effort to remove mud stain from the fabric manually, you can throw the denim in the washing machine. Set the wash cycle to the most gentle setting and use a mild detergent. You can also add a scoop of white vinegar along with the detergent to help lift the stain.
