1. Gently Brush Away Clumps of Mud

Grab a soft brush, like an old toothbrush, or a clean cloth and gently brush away any large clumps of mud. Be careful not to press too hard – this can cause mud to spread instead of come off!

2. Pre-treat with Stain Remover

Fill a bowl with cool water, then add a stain removing product that is designed for use on natural fibers. Follow the product’s instructions for how much to use. Then, dip stained area of your chinos in the solution. Let them soak for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with cool water.

3.Launder as Usual

Now that the stain has been pre-treated, it's time to launder. Before adding the chinos to the washer, check the care label. Make sure to use cool water and the gentle cycle setting. Avoid using hot water or harsh detergents – this can cause the stains to set in even more.

4. Air Dry

Skip the dryer! Instead, hang the chinos up to air dry. This is the best way to prevent any additional mud stains and shrinkage.
