Mud stains can be pesky and embarrassing, but they don't have to be permanent. Removing them from chambray is actually quite easy. You'll need some common household items that most people have around the house. Here's what you'll need: white vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and a soft brush or scrubber.
Take a soft brush or scrubber and gently brush away any dried mud from the area. Be sure to use gentle strokes so as not to damage the fabric.
Mix together one part warm water and one part white vinegar in a small bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab it onto the stain.
Allow the vinegar and water mixture to sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water. This should help to loosen up dried mud, making it easier to remove.
Mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Apply the mixture onto the stain and allow it to sit for 5 minutes. If you have trouble getting mixture to stick, you can also use a small scrubber to rub it into the fabric.
Rinse away the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide solution with cool water. If some of the stain remains, repeat steps 2 through 5 until entire stain is removed. Then, air-dry the garment and stain should be gone!
Using the steps outlined above, you can easily remove mud stains from your chambray fabric. All you need is some white vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and a soft brush or scrubber. With these simple steps, you should be able to make those stubborn mud stains a thing of the past.
