Step 1: Gather Supplies

Before you start cleaning, you'll need some basic supplies. You will need a bucket, laundry detergent, white vinegar, a clean cloth and a brush. If mud stain is particularly stubborn, you may need a stain remover.

Step 2: Pre-treat

Mix two tablespoons of laundry detergent and two tablespoons of white vinegar in a bucket with two cups of warm water. Soak the boxers in the mixture for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use a brush to scrub the area that has the mud stain. This will help to loosen mud and prepare it for cleaning.

Step 3: Rinse & Repeat

After you have scrubbed the area, take the boxers out of the mixture and rinse them off with cold water. Make sure to remove as much of the mud as possible. If the mud stain is still visible, repeat steps 2 and 3 until it is no longer visible.

Step 4: Wash & Dry

Once mud stain is gone, you can wash the boxers as you normally would. Use cold water and a mild detergent. After they are washed, put them in the dryer on the lowest setting. This will help to set the colors and ensure that the mud stains won't return.

Conclusion

Cleaning mud stains from boxers doesn't have to be difficult if you know the right steps. By pre-treating, rinsing, and washing the boxers, you can have them looking good as new in no time.
