Step 1: Create a cleaning solution

Create a cleaning solution by combining equal parts dish soap and warm water. Wet the barrettes with the cleaning solution, being careful not to submerge them completely. Then, take a Q-tip and dip it into the cleaning solution, then rub off any visible mud from the barrettes.

Step 2: Blend up some TLC

Now it’s time to give your barrettes some extra care. To do this, grab a blender or food processor and blend up some gentle, natural ingredients like oats, baking soda, and lavender essential oil to create a paste. Then spread paste onto the barrettes and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Last but not least, rinse the barrettes off with warm water, and let them air-dry or pat dry with a soft cloth. And voilà! Your once dirty barrettes are now looking good as new!
