Step One: Scrape off the Mud

First, use a butter knife or an old toothbrush to scrape off as much of the mud as possible. Be careful not to damage the material of your shoes. Once the majority of the mud has been removed, move onto the next step.

Step Two: Create a Washing Solution

In a bowl or a container, mix together warm water and a mild detergent or soap. Be sure to stir until the mixture is fully combined. Dip a cloth or a soft-bristled brush into the solution and begin to gently scrub the remaining mud from the shoes.

Step Three: Rinse and Dry

Once you've washed the shoes with the cleaning solution, rinse them off with fresh water. Make sure to carefully remove any excess water with a towel. Finally, let your shoes air dry completely by placing them in a cool, well-ventilated area before wearing them.
