Before you can begin cleaning the mud stain, it's important to remove as much of the mud as you can. Use a dull knife to scrape away the mud, taking care not to rub the fabric too harshly. This step is crucial to ensure that the stain isn't set in even further.
Fill a bowl with cold water and add 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Submerge the area with the mud stain and let it soak for 15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the fabric with cold water and repeat until the suds are gone.
Mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1/4 cup of oxygenated bleach in a bowl. Stir the ingredients until the mixture forms a paste.
Use a clean soft cloth to apply the cleaning solution to mud stain. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then use a damp cloth to rinse away the residue.
Once you've rinsed away the cleaning solution, use a clean towel to blot the fabric dry. Make sure to not rub the fabric, as this could cause the stain to spread.
Hang the clothing up outside or near an open window and let the fabric air dry. Do not place the clothing in the dryer as this could cause the stain to set in even further.
Using these steps, you can easily remove mud stains from your Ann Taylor clothing. For more tips on stain removal, check out Ann Taylor's website for more information.
