Step One: Get Your Supplies

The first step is to get the necessary supplies. You'll need a bucket of warm water, laundry detergent, an old toothbrush, and a clean towel or rag for drying.

Step Two: Soak the Garment

Fill your bucket with warm water and add a small amount of laundry detergent. Place soiled garment into the bucket and let it soak for at least 30 minutes so the mud has time to loosen.

Step Three: Scrub Stain

Using the toothbrush, gently scrub the stained area in a circular motion. This will help loosen and remove the mud without damaging the fabric. Be sure to rinse the toothbrush between scrubs.

Step Four: Rinse and Dry

Once you have removed all the mud, rinse the garment in cold water until all the soap is gone. Hang the garment up to dry or lay it flat on a clean towel.

Step Five: Appraise the Results

Once the garment is dry, take a look at results. If stain persists, you may need to repeat the previous steps. If the stain is gone, congratulations! You've just successfully cleaned a mud stain from your Aeropostale apparel.
