The first step to getting rid of those pesky mud stains is to make a cleaning solution. You will need white vinegar, baking soda, and laundry detergent. Mix together one cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup baking soda, and two tablespoons of laundry detergent in a small bowl. This mixture can be used on any colour fabrics.
Once the cleaning solution is mixed, you can begin tackling the stain. Take the cloth and dab a generous amount of the mixture onto the affected area. Rub the solution into the stain for a few minutes until the mud starts to break apart. Let the solution sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes before continuing to the next step.
As long as the cleaning solution has had time to break down the mud, you can now throw the garment into the washing machine. Before doing so, check the care instructions for the particular fabric and set the machine accordingly. Use your regular laundry detergent and run the cycle on its hottest setting. If you have a front-loading washing machine, add some vinegar to the rinse cycle for extra cleaning power.
After the washing cycle is complete, take the garment out of the machine and place it in dryer on its lowest heat setting. For delicates, air-dry the garment on a clean towel or clothesline. Once the drying cycle is finished, inspect the item to make sure all mud has been removed. If not, repeat steps 1-3 again until the mud is completely gone.
Getting mud stains out of Adidas clothes can be a challenge, but process doesn't have to be complicated. With a few easy steps and right cleaning products, you should be able to successfully remove the stain and keep your Adidas garments looking good as new.
