What You'll Need:
- Mild detergent
- White vinegar
- Soft cloths
- Bucket
- Hair dryer (optional)
Step 1: Blot Up Any Excess Dirt
Use a soft cloth to blot away any excess dirt and mud, making sure to avoid rubbing it in. It's important to get as much of the mud out as you can before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Make a Cleaning Solution
Fill up a bucket with warm water and add a mild detergent. Swish the mixture around until it has been mixed together and make sure that it is not too soapy.
Step 3: Use Your Cleaning Solution
Dip a clean cloth in the cleaning solution and wring it out. Use the cloth to gently blot the stained area, making sure to avoid rubbing the fabric too hard.
Step 4: Rinse with Water
Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cool water. This will help to remove any soap residue and will ensure that the fabric is clean and free from dirt.
Step 5: Dry With a Hair Dryer (Optional)
If the fabric is still damp, use a hair dryer to dry it off. This will help to prevent mildew and odor from developing and will ensure that the fabric looks its best.
Step 6: Get Rid of Stubborn Stains
If the stains are still not coming off, use white vinegar to help remove them. Soak a cloth in white vinegar and then dab the stained area with it. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse with cool water.
Step 7: Enjoy Your Freshly Cleaned Fabric!
Once the stain has been removed, apply a fabric protector to protect the fabric from future stains. This will help to make sure that your fabric stays looking its best for longer.
