The first step in removing a mud stain is to scrape off as much excess mud as possible. Be sure to do this carefully so that you don't spread the stain further. You can use a dull knife, spatula, or even a spoon to help with this task.

Now it's time to treat the stain. If you have access to a commercial stain remover, that is the best option to use. Otherwise, you can mix white vinegar and baking soda together to create a paste. Spread the paste on the affected area and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before wiping away.

Finally, the last step is to wash garment or fabric as normal. Use hot water if the stain is particularly stubborn, as this will help to loosen the dirt further. Once the fabric has been washed, you should be able to enjoy a mud-free surface.
