Step 1: Rinse in Cold Water

As soon as you notice the mouthwash stain, rinse it in cold water. This will help prevent stain from setting further and becoming harder to remove.

Step 2: Rub Soap on the Stain

Take a mild dishwashing liquid and rub it into stain, working from the outside of the stain towards the center. Let the soap sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out.

Step 3: Use a Clean Cloth

Dampen a white cloth and dab stain with it to remove excess liquid. Be careful not to rub too hard as this may damage garment.

Step 4: Soak the Garment in cold Water

Fill a small bucket with cold water and add a capful of dishwashing liquid. Soak the garment in solution for up to 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly in cold water.

Step 5: Apply a Laundry Detergent

Next, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the stain. Gently rub it into the fabric before laundering using the delicate cycle.

Step 6: Hang to Dry

Once the garment has finished going through the washing machine, hang it to dry and avoid using the dryer. This will help the stain to stay light and not set in.
