Making a baking soda paste is quickest way to get rid of the mouthwash stains. Start by mixing about three tablespoons of baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste. Then, using a soft cloth or sponge, spread the paste directly onto the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. After it's had a chance to work its magic, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth.
If the baking soda paste doesn't do the trick, try making a laundry detergent solution. Mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent with two cups of warm water and stir until detergent has dissolved. Using a clean sponge, apply the solution directly to stained area and gently rub it in. Let the detergent sit for five minutes, then rinse with a damp cloth.
Vinegar is a powerful natural cleaning agent that can help remove even toughest of stains. To use it, mix one part white vinegar with three parts warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and use it to gently scrub the stained area. Then, rinse area with a damp cloth and dry with a towel.
