Mouthwash stains can seem like a real nuisance when they get on your undershirts and underpants. However, all hope is not lost! There are several effective ways to remove them quickly and effectively.

Removing Mouthwash Stains from Underwear: Tips & Tricks

  • Soak your underwear in a solution of cold water and some laundry detergent for at least 30 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water.
  • Rub stain with a cloth soaked in white vinegar, then rinse with cold water.
  • Mix together a tablespoon of baking soda and two teaspoons of liquid detergent. Apply the mixture to the stain and scrub gently with a soft cloth.
  • If the stain persists, try applying rubbing alcohol directly to the area and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing.
  • For more stubborn stains, try treating with hydrogen peroxide or spot-treat with a stain remover.

Additional Tips and Tricks

  • If possible, you should always pre-treat stains with a stain remover before laundering. This will help prevent stain from setting in.
  • Once the garment is dry, inspect to make sure the stain is gone. If stain is still visible, repeat process until it is removed.
  • Wash and dry the garment as soon as possible to keep the stain from becoming permanent.
  • Dry the garment on low heat, as high heat can set the stain and make it harder to remove.

With a little bit of elbow grease, that mouthwash stain can be a distant memory!
