Removing Fresh Mouthwash Spills

If mouthwash spill is still fresh, rinse the tights with cool water as soon as possible. This will help prevent the stain from setting permanently. Once you’ve rinsed off the mouthwash, dab the area with a white cloth or paper towel. Be careful not to rub the stain because this could spread the spill and make it harder to remove.

Pre-treating the Stain

Once the area is dry, dampen another white cloth with rubbing alcohol and dab the stained area. This will help lift the stain out of the garment. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to pretreat other types of stains such as ink and grass. Let the rubbing alcohol sit for a few minutes before washing.

Washing the Tights

After pre-treating the stain, you should machine wash the tights using cold water and a mild detergent. If the stain is still visible after washing, you can try repeating the pre-treatment step and then machine washing again. It's important to avoid using hot water because heat can cause the stain to set permanently.
