berry Mouthwash stains may look intimidating, but with a few common household items and some elbow grease, you can make those marks vanish! Here’s what you’ll need:
  • White vinegar
  • Cotton swab
  • White cloth
  • Lemon juice
  • Hand soap

Step 1: Create Your Cleaning Solution

Mix together equal parts white vinegar and lemon juice in a small bowl. Stir the solution until the two ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 2: Apply Solution to the Stain

Soak one end of a cotton swab in the mixture you just created. Gently dab affected area with the swab. Be careful not to scrub fabric as this could damage the tie. If necessary, you can use a second cotton swab to ensure complete coverage of the stain.

Step 3: Let the Solution Soak for 30 Minutes

After you’ve applied the cleaning solution to the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes. During this time, the mixture will loosen and begin to dissolve the stain.

Step 4: Rinse With Cold Water

After the 30 minutes has passed, rinse the tie with cold water. Use a white cloth to blot the area, being sure to avoid any scrubbing or rubbing motions.

Step 5: Wash With Hand Soap

Mix a few drops of hand soap with warm water and submerge the tie. Allow the tie to soak for several minutes before rinsing it with cold water again. Blot area with a white cloth once more.

Step 6: Air Dry

Finally, lay the tie out flat to air dry. After it’s completely dry, inspect the area to make sure all the mouthwash stains are gone. If necessary, you can repeat any of the earlier steps.
