When treating mouthwash stains, it's important to act quickly before they set in and become more difficult to remove. Here's what you'll need:
If the mouthwash stain is fresh, begin by rinsing it with cold water from the back side of the fabric. This will help flush out as much of the stain as possible. When finished rinse the area with clean cold water.
In a bowl, mix together two parts white vinegar and one part water. Soak a cloth in the mixture and gently dab the area where the mouthwash stain is. Afterward, thoroughly rinse the area with cold water.
Mix together equal parts lemon juice and water in a bowl. Soak a cloth in the mixture and lightly rub the stained area. Next, rinse with cold water and allow the tank top to air dry.
Mix together equal parts liquid laundry detergent and water in a bowl. Gently rub the stained area with the cloth soaked in the mixture. Afterward, thoroughly rinse the area and allow the tank top to air dry.
Sprinkle salt directly onto the affected area and rub with a damp cloth. The salt will act as an abrasive to help remove remaining stain from the fabric. Finally, rinse the area with cold water and air dry.
