Mouthwash stains can be difficult to remove from clothing and T-shirts, but it is not impossible. With a few simple ingredients that can be found in most homes, you can successfully remove mouthwash stains. All you need is some laundry detergent, white vinegar, and a little bit of patience.
Start by gently scraping off any excess stains with a spoon or a blunt knife. Be sure not to rub the stain too hard as this may cause the stain to spread. Once the excess has been removed, proceed to the next step.
Mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Soak the stained area of the T-shirt in this mixture for about 15 minutes. This will help loosen up the stain so that it is easier to remove.
Once the stain has been soaked, rinse the T-shirt thoroughly under running water. If the stain still persists, repeat steps 1 through three as necessary. You may need to do this several times depending on the severity of stain.
Once you are satisfied that stain has been removed, put the T-shirt in the washing machine and wash according to garment’s care instructions. Once the T-shirt has been washed and dried, your mouthwash stain should be gone!
