Step 1: Check the Care Label

Before beginning the stain removal process, be sure to check the care label on the sundress for any specific cleaning instructions. If there are no specific instructions for stain removal, you can proceed to step two.

Step 2: Preparing the Stain

If the mouthwash stain is still wet, gently blot it with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove as much of the liquid as possible. If the stain has already dried, use a soft brush or a lint roller to brush off any excess particles before you move on.

Step 3: Using White Vinegar

Create a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water and apply it directly to the stained area. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the vinegar to penetrate the fibers of the fabric. Once the time is up, rinse area with cold water and use a clean cloth to dry gently. Do not rub the fabric, as this could damage it.

Step 4: Use a Detergent or Stain Remover

Using a detergent or stain remover specifically formulated for mouthwash stains, apply the product to the affected area. Be careful to follow the instructions on product to ensure that it is used correctly and safely. Let the product sit on the fabric for the recommended amount of time before rinsing it off with cold water. Gently pat the area with a clean cloth to absorb any excess moisture.

Step 5: Check the Stain

After following the above steps, take a look at the stain to see if it is gone. If the stain is still visible, repeat step four. Once the stain is completely gone, let the fabric air dry.
