What You'll Need

  • 1 tbsp. baking soda
  • ½ cup hydrogen peroxide
  • A bowl or cup
  • A toothbrush or soft brush
  • A clean towel

Step-by-Step Guide for Cleaning Mouthwash Stains from Stockings

  1. To start, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl or cup to create a paste.
  2. Place the stocking on a towel and apply paste directly onto the mouthwash stain(s). If stain is located near your toes, be sure to turn stocking inside-out first.
  3. Rub the paste in with a toothbrush or soft brush.
  4. Leave the paste to sit on the stain for 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse the paste off with cool water and check to see if the stain has been removed.
  6. If not, repeat steps 2-4 and let the paste sit for a longer period of time.
  7. When done, either hang the stockings on a clothesline to dry or slide them back on your feet and go about your day.

And there you have it! Cleaning mouthwash stains from stockings is easier than ever. Try this method to get your stockings back in tip top shape!
