If the mouthwash stain is still wet, you should first blot it using a clean cloth. This will help absorb excess liquid, making it easier to treat the stain. Be sure not to rub, as this may spread the stain.
Mix together a solution of mild detergent and white vinegar in a bowl. Test it on a small corner of your sleepwear to make sure it does not cause any damage before applying it over the stain. Allow the solution to sit for at least 30 minutes before washing.
After the pretreatment has had time to set, use a soft brush or toothbrush to scrub stain gently. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
When you are finished scrubbing, wash the garment on its own in the washing machine. Use cold water and a mild detergent. Do not add other items in the load, as they could become stained as well. After washing, allow garment to air dry.
If the stain is still present, you will need to repeat process. Mix together a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Apply this paste onto the stain and allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes before scrubbing with a soft brush. Afterwards, launder the garment as instructed in step 4.
