The first step in removing a mouthwash stain is to try and remove as much of the liquid as possible. With a paper towel or a clean cloth, dab the stained area gently to soak up as much of the mouthwash as possible.
In a bowl, mix together warm water and a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Dip a sponge or cloth into mixture, then wring out the excess liquid.
Begin cleaning stained area with the cleaning solution. Rub the cloth or sponge gently into the fabric, working from the outside of the stain toward the center. Continue repeating this process until the stain has been removed.
Once you have finished cleaning the stain, rinse the area with cold water to remove any residue from the cleaning solution. Blot area with a clean dry cloth to remove any excess water.
Finally, allow stained area to air dry, or if you prefer, you can use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to speed up the drying process. Do not put the skirt in the dryer, as this could cause stain to set.
