Mix one part white vinegar and three parts cold water in a bowl and stir the mixture. Take a clean, damp cloth and dip it into diluted vinegar solution before applying it to stained area of the silk fabric. Let it sit for a few minutes, allowing the vinegar to break down the stain.
Using a clean white cloth, gently blot the stained area of the silk fabric with vinegar mixture until the stain is gone or no longer visible.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water. Make sure to rinse thoroughly, as any remaining vinegar can lead to discolouration of the silk fabric.
Once area is rinsed, use a clean, dry cloth to absorb any excess moisture from the fabric. This step is important to prevent water stains.
After removing the moisture, dab some rubbing alcohol onto the area with a clean, damp cloth. This will help to remove any remaining residue or discolouration.
Follow these five simple steps and you'll be able to erase those pesky mouthwash stains from your beloved silk fabric!
