The fastest way to get rid of the mouthwash stain is by using a disinfectant and then soaking the stained area in warm, soapy water for 30 minutes. Use a cloth or sponge to scrub away the stain and then rinse with cold water.
If the stain is still visible after using the first method, you can use a specialized stain remover. Make sure to test the product on a hidden portion of the fabric before using it on the stained area. Once the product has been tested and applied to the stain, let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with cool water.
If neither of the previous methods have worked, try using warm water and detergent. Submerge the stained area in warm water for 30 minutes and then apply a small amount of detergent directly to the stain. Gently rub the detergent into the fabric before rinsing with clean, cold water.
If all else fails, it's best to call in the professionals. They will be able to determine which method is best for removing the mouthwash stain from your shantung.
