Before attempting to remove mouthwash stains from your sarong, you will need to gather the necessary supplies. You will need dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, baking soda, a clean cloth or sponge, and a washing machine.
Start by pre-treating the stained area of the sarong with a mixture of dish soap and water. You can also add a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide to solution if necessary. Once you have applied the mixture to the affected area, let it sit for 10 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
Next, create a paste using baking soda and water. Using a clean cloth or sponge, rub the paste onto the stained area of the sarong. Let the paste sit for an additional 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Once paste has been removed, you can proceed to washing the sarong as usual. If the stain is still visible, add a cup of white vinegar to the washing machine before beginning the cycle. This will help lift the stain from the fabric even further. Once the wash cycle is complete, hang your sarong up to dry.
If, after letting the sarong dry, you still notice the stain, you may need to repeat Steps 2–4. Keep in mind that some stains may be more stubborn than others and may require multiple treatments.
Getting rid of mouthwash stains from a sarong doesn’t have to be a difficult task. By following the simple steps outlined above, you can easily have your sarong looking like new again.
