If your pump is stained due to contact with mouthwash, start by mixing together a small amount of detergent and warm water to create a cleaning solution. Use a cloth or brush to apply the mixture to stain and gently scrub it away. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the pump with cold water and use a dry cloth to wipe it down.
If detergent doesn't work, you can try using lemon juice. To do this, mix together equal parts warm water and fresh lemon juice. Use a cloth to apply mixture and gently scrub Stain. Once it’s been removed, rinse the pump with cold water and dry it with a cloth.
If your pump has hard water stains, create a mixture of vinegar and warm water. Use a cloth to apply the mixture and rub the stained area gently. For tougher stains, leave the mixture on the pump for a few minutes before wiping it off. Finally, rinse pump with cold water and dry it with a cloth.
To prevent future stains, make sure you clean your pump regularly. Make sure to remove any excess mouthwash residue after each use. You can also periodically wipe the stem or nozzle down with a damp cloth to prevent staining.
