The first step is to make sure that you’re using a good quality stain remover. You can purchase this at your local grocery store for an affordable price. Once you have your stain remover, follow the instructions provided on the product’s label. Apply it directly to the stained area, ensuring that you cover it completely. Allow the remover to sit for a few minutes before attempting to remove it.
It may require some extra effort to remove stubborn mouthwash stains from muslin. To do this, fill a large bowl with a mixture of detergent and water. Place the affected area of the muslin into mixture and leave it to soak for several hours. Once the time is up, take the fabric out of the mixture and rinse it off. You should then be able to see visible results.
If the stains seem to be lingering despite your efforts, try using white vinegar. Start by adding an equal part of vinegar and warm water to a bowl or bucket. Submerge the muslin into this mixture and allow it to soak for about an hour. Remove fabric and rinse it off with clean water. The stains should have disappeared.
Another effective method for removing mouthwash stains from muslin is to use ammonia. Put two cups of warm water and one cup of ammonia into a bowl and mix them together. Dip the muslin fabric into the mixture and leave it to soak for a few minutes. Remove item, rinse it off and check for signs of stain. If the stain persists, you may need to repeat process.
