- Lint-free cloth
- Clean sponge
- Dishwashing detergent
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a cleaning solution. Mix together one teaspoon of white vinegar and one teaspoon of borax powder with a cup of warm water in a bowl.
- Sponge the area. Use a clean sponge to sponge the affected area using the cleaning solution. Rinse the sponge frequently with plain water.
- Wipe the area. Use a lint-free cloth to wipe the area to remove the cleaning solution. Make sure to rinse the cloth frequently.
- Apply detergent. Apply a few drops of dishwashing detergent directly onto the stain. Gently rub into the fabric.
- Rinse with water. Rinse the area with plain water and a clean sponge until all the detergent is removed.
- Air dry or machine wash. Air dry item, or machine wash per the fabric care instructions.
