One of the easiest methods for cleaning fabric stains from mouthwash is to use a cloth and warm water. To start, dampen a cloth with lukewarm water and then gently dab the area affected by the mouthwash. Do not rub the fabric, as this may cause further damage and weaken the fibers. Instead, just dab the area until the stain is removed.
If the stain remains after the initial treatment with water, you can use a mild soap or detergent, such as Woolite, to create a cleaning solution. Make sure to dilute solution with lukewarm water, and then use a clean cloth dipped in the mixture to gently scrub the stain. Rinse area afterwards with lukewarm water to remove any remaining residue.
Alternatively, you can also create a cleaning solution using equal parts white vinegar and water. Soak a cloth in mixture and use it to blot mouthwash stain. Leave the solution to sit on the fabric for approximately 15 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
It’s important that you avoid using chlorine bleach on your Michael Kors fabric, as this may weaken the fabric or cause discoloration. As an extra precaution, always test the cleaning solution on a hidden area of the fabric before applying it directly to the stain.
Once the stain has been removed, you may want to consider pretreating the fabric with a commercial spot remover. This will help protect the fabric from future staining and ensure that the fabric maintains its color and sheen.
Finally, to further protect fabric from potential stains, it is always recommended to apply a fabric protector spray. This will help create an invisible barrier against dirt and other common staining liquids.
