Mouthwash contains ingredients such as alcohol, pigments and flavorings that can seep into fabric and cause staining, particularly if not washed right away. Colorants in certain types of mouthwash are known to be particularly prone to staining a mask.
Fortunately, there is an easy way to get rid of the stains left behind by mouthwash! You’ll need to use an appropriate cleaning agent, preferably one that is formulated specifically for removing stains from fabric. A wash-in type product is ideal, as it can be used directly in the washing machine.
By following the steps outlined above, you can easily remove mouthwash stains from your masks. If the stains still remain, you may need to repeat process or use a stronger cleaning agent.
