Accidents happen, and it's never fun when you spill something on your precious projects. If you've recently spilled mouthwash on your macramé project, don't panic. Removing the stain is simpler than you might think.

Removing Mouthwash Stains from Macramé

  1. Start by taking the macramé item to the sink. It's important to work in an area with a good amount of light.
  2. Take a small, soft-bristled brush like a toothbrush and gently scrub the area with the brush, using warm water and a mild detergent.
  3. Be sure to work detergent and water into the affected areas. Scrub gently – too much pressure may damage your macramé.
  4. Once you have finished scrubbing, rinse the item completely with warm water.
  5. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 2-4. You may need to use a stronger detergent for this step.
  6. If stain still will not come out, try a stain remover formulated for fabrics. Check the instructions and make sure it is safe to use on your particular type of fabric.
  7. Once you have removed the stain, rinse item again with warm water. Blot the area with a clean towel to dry.

By following these steps, you should be able to get rid of embarrassing mouthwash stains from your macramé project. Take care when cleaning, and you'll have your project looking like new in no time.
