Instructions:

  1. Treat the stain as soon as possible. This helps to reduce the chance that it will set permanently.
  2. Rinse the stained area with cold water to remove any excess mouthwash.
  3. Mix 1 tsp of dish detergent with 1 cup of cold water, and apply it directly to the stain. Rub the solution gentle into fabric for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Rinse the stained area with cold water again, to remove soap residue.
  5. If the stain remains, apply a few drops of vinegar. Rub the vinegar into the fabric for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Rinse the stained area with cold water once more to remove any remaining vinegar.
  7. If necessary, repeat steps 3-6 until stain has been removed.
  8. Once the stain has been removed, wash the item with a mild laundry detergent, following all manufacturer instructions.

Tips:

  • Use a clean, white cloth when treating the stain, as this will help to avoid causing further damage to the fabric.
  • Always try the cleaning method on a small, inconspicuous area of garment first, to ensure that the fabric will not be damaged.
  • Never use hot water or harsh chemicals on an item containing a stain.
