Mouthwash can leave behind unsightly stains on your home materials. Depending on kind of material, the mouthwash stains can prove to be quite stubborn. Here are some tips for you to remove mouthwash stains from a variety of surfaces.
Step 1. Start by combining one cup hot water and one tablespoon liquid dishwashing soap or laundry detergent in a bowl. Dip a white cloth or paper towel into this solution.
Step 2. Gently dab the stained area of the carpet by pressing the damp cloth or paper towel against it. Don't scrub it in circles; instead, dab up and down or back and forth.
Step 3. Continue working the damp cloth or paper towel into the stain until you notice liquid being absorbed into the cloth or paper towel.
Step 4. Blot the area until it is completely dry. Once it's dry, you're done!
Step 1. Mix 1 quart warm water and one teaspoon of mild liquid detergent together in a bowl.
Step 2. Dampen a white cloth or paper towel in the solution.
Step 3. Gently rub the stained area with damp cloth or paper towel in an up-and-down or back-and-forth motion.
Step 4. Continue rubbing until the stain starts to fade away.
Step 5. Once the stain is gone, wipe the area down with a cool, damp cloth or paper towel and dry with a soft clean cloth.
Step 1. Make a mixture of one cup of warm water and one teaspoon of laundry detergent and put it in a bowl.
Step 2. Soak the stained area of the clothing in the solution for about 10 minutes.
Step 3. Take the clothing out of the solution and blot the stained area with a white cloth or paper towel.
Step 4. Rub the stained area gently in an up-and-down or back-and-forth motion until the stain starts to fade away.
Step 5. Once the stain is gone, rinse the clothing with cool, clean water and dry with a soft clean cloth or paper towel.
These simple approaches should help you get those stubborn mouthwash stains out of your home materials. Remember to always test the cleaning solution on a small inconspicuous area first to make sure it won't cause any damage to material.
