Instructions

  1. Start by wiping down the stained area with a damp cloth and cool water.
  2. If the stain persists, mix a solution of ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in 1 cup of warm water.
  3. Using a clean sponge or soft cloth, apply the solution to the stained area.
  4. Gently rub the entire stained area with the solution.
  5. Rinse off area with cool water, then dry with a clean cloth.

Tips

  • Be sure to test the solution on a small corner of the bag first to ensure it won't damage material.
  • If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may choose to utilize a stain remover specifically designed for removing mouthwash stains.
  • It's important to take care when cleaning handbags so as not to damage any of the hardware or stitching.

Warnings

  • Do not use hot water as this can cause the stain to set into the fabric.
  • Vinegar should never be used on leather, suede, or any other porous materials.
