First, gather supplies to clean your stained clothing. You will need a cloth, lint-free paper towel, distilled white vinegar, laundry detergent and water.
Begin by blotting the stain with a cloth or lint-free paper towel. Try to remove as much of the mouthwash as you can without rubbing it in. Once you have removed as much as possible, dampen the cloth with distilled white vinegar and dab it over the stained area. This helps break down and loosen the remaining particles.
Next, prepare a bowl or bucket with a mixture of one tablespoon of laundry detergent and one cup of water. Soak the stained area in the mixture for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Finally, launder the item as normal.
Once the item is done washing, check to make sure that the stain has been removed. If stain is still visible, repeat the steps above. Finally, hang your item to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
