Getting stains out of clothes can be a tricky business. Depending on what caused the stain and what type of fabric the article of clothing is made of, different methods may be needed to properly remove it. If you’ve recently been caught in an embarrassing situation with mouthwash stains on your dress, don’t worry! We have a few tips and tricks to help you clean that dress quickly and easily.
The first step to getting mouthwash stains out of your dress is to act fast. The sooner you start to clean the stain, better your chances of success. Delaying the cleaning process gives the stain more time to set into the fabric. Try to start the cleaning process as soon as possible to prevent this.
After you’ve identified the mouthwash stain on your dress, it’s time to start cleaning. Start by rinsing the stain with cold water until the mouthwash is removed and no longer visible. Then, fill a clean sink or bucket with lukewarm water and let dress soak for at least 15 minutes. This will loosen any debris and help to remove the remaining traces of stain.
Once the soaking process is complete, it’s time to use some dish soap to help remove the stain. Gently rub a small amount of dish soap into the affected area. Be sure not to scrub too hard or use too much soap, as this could cause further damage. Afterward, let the soap sit for five minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
After dish soap is removed, you’ll need to wash the dress in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. Check the care instructions on dress label to make sure you’re using right settings. Once the cycle is done, dry the dress like normal. If the mouthwash stain is still there after wash, repeat steps two and three until the stain is gone.
