Nobody likes it when they inadvertently end up staining their favourite clothing items. But there’s hope yet if you have stained your favourite georgette dress with mouthwash, because with the right method you can get rid of the stain quickly and easily.
Steps for cleaning mouthwash stains from double georgette:
- Gently dab the stained area with a clean, white cloth and warm water.
- If the stain persists, mix together 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent in 1-quart of warm water.
- Apply the mixture to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse stained area with another clean, white cloth and warm water.
- If the stain still persists, you can try adding a small amount of ammonia (1 tablespoon per 1-quart of warm water) and repeating the same steps as before.
- In the case that the stain is still not gone, use a stain remover specifically designed for fabric.
- After using a stain remover, run fabric through a cold cycle in the washing machine.
- Allow the fabric to air dry after washing.
