Gather together all of the supplies that you'll need listed above. Borax and baking soda are often found in the laundry aisle at your local supermarket and dish soap is generally kept by the kitchen cleaning products.
Pre-treat the stain by rubbing a small amount of liquid dish soap into it, taking care not to rub too hard so as not to damage the fabric. If you own a handheld steamer, you can steam the area for best results. Once done, leave for about 10 minutes.
In a bowl mix together one tablespoon of Borax, one tablespoon of white vinegar and one tablespoon of baking soda. Add enough warm water to make a paste. Apply the paste to the stain and massage it in using a scrub brush or old toothbrush. Leave the paste on the stain for 30 minutes.
Rinse the clothing in cold water then repeat the process if necessary. You may need to do some spot treatments and it may take several attempts to get the stain out fully.
Once all of the stains are removed, throw the item of clothing into a normal wash using your preferred laundry detergent. Dry on a line or in the dryer according to care label.
