Step 1: Blot Stain with Rag

First, try to blot up as much of the mouthwash as possible with a rag. Press gently into the stained area of the corduroy fabric in order to absorb as much of liquid as you can.

Step 2: Soak Stained Garment in Warm Water Mixed With Laundry Detergent

Create a mixture of warm water and mild laundry detergent by combining two tablespoons of laundry detergent with four liters of warm water. Submerge the stained corduroy garment in the detergent solution. Allow the fabric to sit there for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Rub Stain with a Sponge

Take the garment out of the detergent solution and begin to rub the stained area with a sponge. Make sure to use gentle strokes so as not to damage the fabric of the corduroy. As you scrub, you will likely observe the stain beginning to lighten.

Step 4: Rinse Clean

Rinse off any remaining detergent and stain with cold water. You may need to repeat this step several times in order to completely remove all of the detergent residue. Once you are satisfied with job, wring out any excess water and hang the garment up to air dry.
