Chinos are a great wardrobe staple; they're versatile and always look chic. However, when accidents happen, mouthwash spills can leave behind stubborn stains. Don't despair! Read on to find out how to easily remove those unwanted marks.

Step 1: Treat the Stain Immediately

The key to treating any stain is to tackle it as soon as you can. Pre-treat the area with a liquid laundry detergent or an enzyme cleaner. Rub the solution into the stain in a circular motion and let it sit for a few minutes.

Step 2: Soak in a Solution

Prepare a solution of water and liquid laundry detergent. Submerge your chinos in the solution for about 30 minutes. You can agitate the fabric a bit to help the detergent penetrate the fibers.

Step 3: Rinse and Launder

After soaking, rinse area with cold water. Then, launder your chinos as usual. Be sure to inspect the fabric before putting it in the dryer; if the stain isn't completely gone, repeat the process.
