Steps to Remove the Stain
- Before beginning, be sure to read tag on your Calvin Klein garment to determine if it is safe to wash in traditional methods like hand-washing or washing machine.
- Place the stained area of the clothing over a rag or towel and blot with a soft cloth to remove as much of mouthwash as possible.
- Mix one teaspoon of dish detergent with two cups of cool water. Soak a cloth or sponge in the mixture, wring out the excess liquid and rub the stained area of the garment in a gentle circular motion.
- Rinse the area with cool water, and if any mouthwash remains, repeat steps two and three.
- Mix one cup of water with one tablespoon of white vinegar in a small bowl or mug. Dip the cloth or sponge into the mixture and gently rub it over mouthwash stain.
- Create a paste by mixing together three tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Place the paste on the mouthwash stain and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.
- If the mouthwash stain persists, mix a solution of one tablespoon of salt and two tablespoons of cold water. Rub the solution into the stain, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.
- For particularly stubborn mouthwash stains, fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spritz the area with the solution. Gently scrub the stain with a soft cloth and rinse with cool water.
- Allow the clothing to air dry before wearing it again.
